Nicole Smith, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Supervisor
Nicole Smith is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the Commonwealth of Virginia. She has over thirteen years of post-graduate experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in direct practice, case management, and crisis intervention.
She has worked in various milieus to include outpatient clinics, community-based settings, emergency departments, and hospital settings.
Nicole is a Virginia Board of Social Work-approved clinical supervisor, providing supervision to individuals seeking their clinical licensure.
She utilizes evidence-based modalities in her work to include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Strengths-Based/Solutions-Focused Therapy. She believes in a collaborative assessment and treatment approach where she aligns with clients to co-create plans designed to support them through any challenges.

Dottie Heiler, Resident in Counseling (RIC)
Dottie holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a focus in Expressive Arts Therapy from Lesley University. Additionally, she possesses an M.F.A. from Virginia Commonwealth University and obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Theatre from The University of Virginia’s College at Wise. With a decade-long background in arts education, Dottie transitioned into a career in mental health.
Her experience encompasses play, expressive, and creative art therapies in conjunction with CBT and traditional talk therapies. Over the past two years, Dottie has applied an arts-based trauma-informed approach when working with clients of diverse ages (children, adolescents, and adults) and various populations. Her clients include individuals who have encountered family and community trauma, as well as survivors of sexual assault. Dottie leverages her clients’ strengths and creativity to facilitate the discovery and utilization of their voice, promoting self-empowerment in their healing journey.
Dottie’s philosophy revolves around recognizing the uniqueness of each client’s story and experiences. Within a trauma-informed approach, she advocates for the creation of a trusting therapeutic relationship that fosters a sense of safety within both the client’s environment and body. Dottie will be working as an RIC under the supervision of Anne Luckinbill, LPC.

Madeline Stahl, Supervisee in Social Work (MSW-S)
“Madeline, a Supervisee in Social Work (MSW-S) is a recent graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University, where she earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work. She has experience working with teens and adults in school and community mental health settings.
Madeline is passionate about social justice and takes a holistic approach to therapy, examining how a person’s mind, body, relationships, and environment all impact their mental health and well-being. She is committed to fostering a safe, collaborative, and affirming therapeutic space that honors each client’s autonomy. Madeline believes that therapy can help people gain a deeper understanding of themselves, build healthier relationships, and navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence.
Her therapeutic approach integrates a variety of evidence-based practices, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailored to meet each client’s unique needs.
In her free time, she enjoys reading, coloring, spending time with friends and family, and playing with her dog.
Madeline is under the supervision of Lila Heymann, LCSW and Nicole Smith, LCSW, while working toward licensure.”

Camilla Scriven, Intake Coordinator
Camilla comes to Seasons Counseling with decades of administrative experience in both mental and public health settings. Her goal is to make obtaining mental health services as seamless and as easy as possible; removing barriers to care. She is a transplant to the Culpeper area from the Shenandoah Valley.
When she’s not returning phone calls and emails, she likes to hang out with her family on the couch, acting in community theatre, going to concerts and baking.
