Residents in Counseling (RICs) will be directly supervised by the staff of Seasons Counseling, PLLC. Supervision is at no cost to Residents.

Meredith Clayton, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
Meredith’s professional experience includes over ten years providing counseling services in both school and community settings in which she has worked with a diverse population of children, teens and adults. She holds a bachelor’s degree in communication and a master’s degree in counseling.
Meredith is passionate about the creation of a safe space in which clients will identify their strengths and increase resilience. She enjoys working with all age groups, and holds special interest in helping clients process and recover from trauma. Meredith utilizes a variety of approaches to therapy, each tailored to client needs and developmental stage.
She looks forward to growing as a counselor as she supports the mental health of those she serves.
Dottie Heiler, Resident in Counseling (RIC)
Dottie holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a focus in Expressive Arts Therapy from Lesley University. Additionally, she possesses an M.F.A. from Virginia Commonwealth University and obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Theatre from The University of Virginia’s College at Wise. With a decade-long background in arts education, Dottie transitioned into a career in mental health.
Her experience encompasses play, expressive, and creative art therapies in conjunction with CBT and traditional talk therapies. Over the past two years, Dottie has applied an arts-based trauma-informed approach when working with clients of diverse ages (children, adolescents, and adults) and various populations. Her clients include individuals who have encountered family and community trauma, as well as survivors of sexual assault. Dottie leverages her clients’ strengths and creativity to facilitate the discovery and utilization of their voice, promoting self-empowerment in their healing journey.
Dottie’s philosophy revolves around recognizing the uniqueness of each client’s story and experiences. Within a trauma-informed approach, she advocates for the creation of a trusting therapeutic relationship that fosters a sense of safety within both the client’s environment and body. Dottie will be working as an RIC under the supervision of Anne Luckinbill, LPC.
Nazia Jawad, Supervisee in Social Work (MSW-S)
Nazia is a dedicated social worker with a diverse and rich educational background and extensive experience in the field. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from an international institution and a Human Services degree from Colorado State University Global Campus. Her academic journey continued with a master’s degree in Social Work from Boston University.
With a career spanning various settings, Nazia has worked with children, adults, and older seniors. Her experience includes community programs and healthcare environments, demonstrating her adaptability and broad expertise.
Nazia is known for her person-centered and strength-based approach, focusing on empowering individuals irrespective of their circumstances. She employs a range of therapeutic modalities, including trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, guided imagery, and talk therapy. For children, she uses play therapy to interpret both verbal and non-verbal communication effectively.
Nazia firmly believes that every individual is born with innate innocence and that a nurturing environment is crucial for their growth into healthy adults. Nazia is currently working toward her licensure under the supervision of Lila Heymann, LCSW.
Camilla Scriven, Intake Coordinator
Camilla comes to Seasons Counseling with decades of administrative experience in both mental and public health settings. Her goal is to make obtaining mental health services as seamless and as easy as possible; removing barriers to care. She is a transplant to the Culpeper area from the Shenandoah Valley.
When she’s not returning phone calls and emails, she likes to hang out with her family on the couch, acting in community theatre, going to concerts and baking.
